Slacker No More! March 1, 2006

I have finished my stuff for the Japanese swap, FINALLY, and I am not going to do any more for a while. I always wait until the last minute and then have to rush and I hate that. So until I pull my head out of my bum and learn to get down to business, no more swaps for me. I really like how this one went though, the hipster bag I made I really like, I also made a little box with picture marble magnets in it, backed with the same fabric as the bag. The outside of the box was decorated with alcohol inks. I also included a glass bead I made that sort of looks like cherry blossoms (very Japanese), some yummy Strawberry Pocky and some Japanese gum with really cute wrappers. I hope my swap buddy likes all this stuff, and I can’t wait to see what she sends me! Today I start a new bag, made with some really cool fabric from Hobby Lobby that has what looks like old coffee ads all over it. Being that I work at Starbucks, I couldn’t pass the coffee fabric up. I just wish I had been able to find something with coffee pots or coffee beans or something for the lining. Ah well, it will still be cool! I am going to start it shortly, the goal is to get it done today, we’ll see.
